Do you Miss Jack?
Do you miss jack? Do you miss he's cone like head and the fact he says "brought" instead of "bought"
I bet the answer is probably not!
but....
Despair no longer! you can now feel like your with Jack using the super Whistler Web Cam!
See Jack being a dogsbody on the slopes, vainly trying to make himself understood by a checkaslovakian!

A man from Accrington has revealed that he suffers from a genetic disorder which causes his body to stiffen and collapse to the ground.
Andy Latham told The Telegraph that the heightened startle reflex causes particular problems around Bonfire Night.
He said: "Some people might jump when a firework goes off, but I'm literally scared stiff."My whole body will seize and stiffen, causing me to fall over like a dead weight. It can be very dangerous - one year I fell over and banged my head when a firework went off and had to go to hospital and have stitches."
He continued: "I have the major form of Hyperekplexia which means I have an exaggerated startle response to the unexpected."
Latham, who performs with disabled stripping troupe The Crippendales, said he prevents himself from injury by wearing earplugs, upping his medication and lying straight in bed or on the floor.

Party - the plan
Okey dokey
Bowling is booked for 4 if you can either make it to mine for half 3 or make it to bowling for quart to 4 that would be great. Got 3 lanes booked. instead of paying for individual games I've booked it for 2 hours. Cost 90 altogether and I think there will be about 12 of us there so makes it quite cheap about 6 or 7 quid each but we can work that out on the day
After that its straight back to mine for food and booze, then prob into town at around 9 or 10
See you all tommorow

LETS PLAY POKER...IN OUR PANTS!
Not its not a perverted idea. After staying in to save a few "dollars" for my adventures ive been playing online poker to pass the time. its cheap, there are lots of free tournaments and creating your character is always a laugh. Burley introduced me to it and its the best online poker ive seen. Anyway you can play games with your friends in your own private room. So seeing as we hardly go out lately and it takes an age to organise a poker night, how about signing up for this and we play against each other online.
Just throwing it out there...and we can still play for money winner takes all etc

Rumours of the End of the Universe Have Been Greatly Exaggerated
Seen as though the "Doomsday Machine" has been turned on and we weren't all sucked into a black hole I guess I can plan something for my 30th. Didn't seem much point planning anything if we were all going to be torn apart by a singularity but now I might as well. Any ideas welcome

JACKS LEAVING DOO
As you all know im moving to Canadia this October, so that gives us all an excuse to get drunk! (like we ever needed one) So make sure October 18th is free in your diary as thats the date ive chosen for a piss up. Im currently looking into mini buses and similar ideas for an out of town trip. Possibly Doncaster, Leeds, Sheffield Il keep you updated.
*************************UPDATE******************************
Now thinking of going to Stainforth Dogs via 16 or 24 seater bus. Cost is roughly £13 per person for the bus and you pay £5 entry when you get to Stainforth. Going into Doncaster afterwards.
Let me know if interested and il look into booking it this weekend. Would like the money asap to secure your seat.

The Booze Map
Finally bloody nearly done it! Ok on the right you can see the map (bear with me while I sort out the dimensions and stuff), ones a link
Right.... it works sort of like the blog, I have to invite you to contribute. You can then add your own pubs that you have boozed in. I don't think you will be able to do it until you have been invited. In the mean time I've put a couple of examples down. When you are invited this is how it works:
Search for the pub you have been too (a post code works best but I put in "blue bell, Scunthorpe" and that worked) that will bring up the location, left click the balloon and on the bottom right it will say add to my map, click this and bobs your uncle. What I've also been doing is, once you've added it you can left click again and it brings up a box for details, I've been adding the people who have drank in said pub. If its all of us I've just put "all" There is also space under that for any more comments so if something is particularly good about the pub, let us know.
I'll be sending out invites soon. If you have any probs give me a shout

The "Buffalo" Theory
In one episode of "Cheers", Cliff is seated at the bar describing the Buffalo Theory to his buddy, Norm. I don't think I've ever heard the concept explained any better than this . . .
"Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . . A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the lowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Cricket 22/8/08
Not long to go now then is it. The mini bus will be leaving The Bluebell at 12 noon, I'll be there from about 11 for some food. The mini bus costs £200 butt weve paid £40 deposit so that obvoiusly leaves £160 between us. As far as I know everyone is coming on the bus apart from Chris Smart. The bus leaves Leeds at 11.
The 13 are Big Dave, Turks, Peterbourgh James, Burly, Short Jnr, Short Snr, Phil Brumby, Rick Brumby, Tom Brumby, Puke Hound, Rob Smart, Chris Smart, Jack.
Well at least thats what I think it is as I dont have the list or the tickets any more, Turks has got them all. And yes i have asked for a big enough mini-bus!!
To the regiment.............................

The Horror, The Horror!
I witnessed something that made my eyes bleed, that made me feel that special sort of embarrassment that you get from watching the office or a band perform on Biker Grove.
So I don't have to suffer the memory of this by my self, although I don't want to ruin a TV great, go to you tube and type in 'Red Dwarf Remake' in the search engine. Its the US pilot for Red Dwarf.
Its horrific.
I'm off to gauge my eyes out with a spoon
